MEET THE DESIGNER
Sindy Decker
The Ergotrans design started in 1996 when my dad was assisting the neighbors' caregiver with several transfers on a daily basis. The neighbor had diabetes, a leg amputation, and the other foot was gangrenous. My dad asked me to design a product to get the neighbor into the car for medical appointments.
It's gone through a few changes/improvements over the years.
The last eight years of my mother's life, I used the Ergotrans to get her into my car for her medical appointments. Also to move her from the wheelchair onto the reclining dental and medical chairs.
