Korean Dad uses Ergotrans

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude toward you for inventing the Patient Safe Transfer System for all mankind.

My daughter got completely paralyzed for moving and hospitalized more than 3 years due to Meningitis and I felt frustrated that I could not help her in any way as my work is related to her situation.

I've held a position here in So Korea similar to your FDA.

Our staff loves the Ergotrans

Well, I am happy to report that the staff here loves the Ergotrans belt. We have tried it out with clients with the following diagnosis: CP(Cerebral Palsy), TBI(Traumatic Brain Injury), SCI (Spinal Cord Injury)

and MD(Muscular Dystrophy).

It has arrived!!! Had lots of fun trying it out on both Clayton (husband) and my father on friday night. So if I could transfer them - being somewhat smaller than them - then later in the evening tried it out on Emilie. She was doubtful at first that it would be successful however enjoyed a lovely hour or 2 sitting on the lounge with everyone else watching the football......her baby sister of course had never seen her on the lounge and spent the evening climbing all over Emilie. The smile on her face was the money very well spent. Thanks very much for your product - glad to see 'someone able to think creatively '.

Linda ... before her MS hit hard

“We received the Ergotrans. Colleen, the therapist, used it to get acquainted with how it works. She is very impressed, as am I so far; and we are excited about using it. My wife, Linda was nervous at first but quickly became more relaxed and comfortable. We just did a bed to wheelchair transfer and then back. Linda had to go to the emergency room on Wednesday afternoon for a UTI and a slight infection in her lungs. We used the Ergotrans throughout the entire ordeal including in the ER. The nurses and the doctor were very impressed with the ease of transfer to the ER bed and back to her chair. They wanted to know where we found it, so we told them. Just thought you would feel good about your great creation.

Caring for Accident Injured Son

Margaret H. of Terra Bella, CA took the Ergotrans to the Porterville Adult Day Care board meeting. She said “Each of the board members used the Ergotrans to transfer me. They were all very impressed with just how easy the transfers were executed.” She added, “One of our board members is a physician who retired from practice to care for his son after the son became injured in a traffic accident. He was particularly impressed and thought his wife might benefit from using it in their son’s care.”

The Right Equipment ~ Huge Difference

“After suffering a stroke, David was released to come home weighing 325 pounds. Our family rented a Hoyer Lift to help with his care. Since the Hoyer lift did not get him high enough to clear the hospital bed in its lowest position - it took three of us to transfer him, one caregiver was needed to operate the lift, one to pull his legs and another to push him off and out of the way of the bed. By the time he got to the edge of the bed, the sling was no longer holding him securely. He fell to the floor and we ended up calling 911 more than once.

With the Ergotrans and the curved Glideboard the two of us were able to get him seated at the side of the bed, get the transfer board under his thigh, and do a successful transfer to his wheelchair. Once in place, he was sitting up tall, breathing easier than in the past. What a difference the right equipment makes! Thank you for introducing us to your product! ”

The Ergotrans could have Saved His Life

I was talking with my cousin after our Family Reunion Picnic. He mentioned a situation with his neighbor, Joe, who weighed nearly 400 pounds. Joe was released from the hospital after open-heart surgery and now he was headed home.
Joe was very weak and it took five staff members to get him situated in the family car. Dressed for comfort, Joe’s sweat pants were sticking to the upholstery. The hospital staff members were pulling his arms and legs, pushing him; one attendant even got in the back seat and pulled on his head to get him seated properly for the seat belt.
When Joe got home, his wife and two children were there. The neighbors came to assist him into the house - later that night Joe died. As my cousin looked at the Ergotran he said, “This would have come in handy in Joe’s situation. It might have saved his life!”

Caregiver to Amputee Husband

My husband, Harold, lost both of his legs to diabetes. The Ergotrans made the difference between caring for Harold at home and having to put him in the nursing home. It was a life saver!

We didn't know how well the Ergotrans would work for my dad. Picking him up under the arms, or with the gait belt, was hurting him and throwing us all off balance. We should nave been using it a lot sooner!

Alzheimer's Care

I wish I'd known about the Ergotrans before I spent $5000. on a system that is mounted on my bathroom wall and in my car. The Ergotrans works better for my wife – who has Alzheimer's – and it's portable!
